Paul

Paul has worked in IT for over 40 years.  He's the main reason for the farm.  He said he'd like a hobby farm when he retires.  His IT knowledge has helped bring the farm into the modern era.  He's found apps for water tank use, electric fence use, pumping water and installed a remote weather station so we, and our neigbours, can get a more accurate reading of the weather in the area.

Along with being a weekend farmer, Paul is also a qualified Drone Pilot.  He uses his drone skills around the farm, taking photos of the vineyard throughout the seasons.  This assists with watering, as he can see where things are dry.  He also takes some fabulous overhead shots of the property from season to season too.

Paul's keen to learn all he can about farm life.  While the animals on the farm don't belong to us, they're benefiting from the water pumping into troughs that Paul has set up.  He's also set the vineyard pumps up for watering.

The vineyard and wine production was an idea Paul had of trying out.  It wasn't something we thought we'd do initially, but Paul has enjoyed learning as much as he can about the process.  So far he's been enjoying the end result too.

There's a keenness in learning new things that keeps Paul inspired with every activity on the farm, wine production is just a small part of it.

Paul has also become a valued member of the local Farmer's Market, assisting on the Board, and with getting the market up to speed with all things IT.
