Helen

Helen is along for the ride of farming life with Paul.  She has been a stay at home mum for over 29 years, with a few odd jobs along the way.

Farm life is embraced in all its forms.  Helen likes working in the paddocks, planting new trees and shrubs around the dam to encourage bird life. The goal there is to fill the paddock with  all sorts of plant forms so the birds have a safe haven from the local foxes.

Always keen to give new things a try, Helen has embraced riding a quad bike and an electric motor bike to get jobs done, just a couple of things she never thought she'd do in her life time!

Helen is the odd job person around the farm.  If it needs doing she'll give it a go, ranging from outside tasks to things in the home.  She's painted the kitchen, painted the front gate and in what seems to be a never ending task, she's determined to cull down the agapanthus around the property by pulling them out one by one.  One of Helen's favourite tools is her little chainsaw, which she uses to assist Paul when cutting up fallen branches.

As for Helen's contribution to the wine making, she works behind the scenes, putting her hand in new tasks of label design and website design.  If nothing else, there's the willingness to learn new things that keeps her going.  She's always keen to get her camera out around the property too, taking photos of wildlife, plant life and the gorgeous sunsets the area provides some evenings.
